Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort is located 16 km (10 mi) from Barra de Tijuca, the newest area of Rio. The Barra features modern architecture, Barra Beach (arguably the best in the city), and BarraShopping, the largest shopping mall in Rio, and one of the largest in South America.
